OK I've been tagged

Here I am sitting outside next to a few of the birdhouses I've made. I'd rather be outside than anywhere! Here is my bedroom; note the papers on the nightstand, (I'm reading Tom's newest novel script!) and the suitcase to the side of the bed ( unpacking from Phoenix and packing for Tremonton) I have a very comfortable bed!
This is one of my closets. I just got back from Phoenix and I'm packing for next weekends trip to Tremonton for the blessing of Seth. I live out of a suitcase.
The kitchen sink doesn't look so bad since I ate out at the Bear Paw this morning and have only been home a few hours!
The fridge is full of I don't know what. Like I said, I haven't been home. Nancy, Dan and Brian are fending for themselves so I hope they know what's in here.
The washroom is a pretty busy place in my house. I love the lizards on the wall and on the door pulls. We have lots of lizards in St. George.
The master bath is Nancy's. I do use the jet tub on occasion but I like my bathroom just fine.
Cute Shoes!!!! I used to like a heel on my shoes but I find I can move faster in flats and I love the red color!
My favorite room is the downstairs tv room! I love my baskets above and my Al Rounds paintings on the walls.
My favorite place in my house is on the balcony. The view is great and it is outside! I'm excited it is cooling down so I can enjoy being outside again.
My favorite vacation spot is anywhere and anytime that I can be there to spend time and help my family and friends. Hopefully I will get increasing amounts of vacation time. Like my brother says, "We want to spend retirement going about doing good!"

So now I guess I pass on the tag to Sarah Stauber and Erika Reyes!

House and Home

Check out the update on the house with the new color.
I need everyone's help! The problem is the crack in the wall. What do you think I can do besides start over??? I'm looking for any ideas.
Also before I left for Phoenix I made a quick trip to Tremonton to visit Seth. Everyone is doing great. Allison is feeling better; Carter is off to kindergarten, Mason is now 3 and Bryan is busy putting up a shed I bought for him. I think next time he may want to come with me when I pick something out. I hope it's done by my next visit.

A Summer's Work

The summer has come to an end and I am ready to change from construction to the classroom. I don't think I have sweat this much in a long time. The air conditioner is not fixed in the rental even now but hopefully will be tomorrow! My great crew worked overtime to finish the house and now it is rented and ready to go.
The last few pictures are my attempt of landscapping my neighbor's yard. They are so cool to let me have a free rein on their yard!

Summer travel

As I have traveled this summer I have discovered questions to ask my favorite people and here they are: Sunny...How long does it take grass to grow? Tom... Have you seen his water collection? Becky...Have you seen her hardback photograph book? Rob...Have you heard about the French singer married to the president of France? Allen... Anybody heard of a volunteer for scout camp? We still need one more! Chris.... Does your dad have time to help with one more bird house? Mike and Autumn.... Would you rather be accepted in Medical school and residency in Boston or New York? Anna.... How's the move to Hill Field? Dan... What's for dinner? Chris... How many families moved from foreclosure in the ward this week? Krisiti...How many miles can you go on a tank of gas in a big car? Kirk and Carter...... When does kindergarten start? Bryan...How long does it take a hospital to give a dad the new baby? Allison....How long does it take after a C section before you can mow the grass? Karla... What day of the week has the worst weather? Nancy... Are your legs black and blue or are those tatoos? I have seen some of the greatest things from all of you. I am going to add some music Rob sent me and include pictures from San Francisco soon. ( As soon as I can get walked through the process again.) Till then Keep up the great work and ask the others these questions!

4th of July weekend

Allen and I decided to buy some property to rent. This may be my next occupation!! First note the back yard....and all of this needs to be landscaped. What a fun job for the fall.
Allen and Chris came down to St. George to look at property and Anna brought the kids from Hill Field AFB. Jason stayed to protect the world and load ammunition.
A view out the back door.

The house is in a very nice neighborhood and should rent well. Allen and Chris will be able to come help Dan and I whenever they have time and they will be able to write it all off on their taxes too.

Anna found a recipe to make ice cream in a baggie.

A trip to Arctic Circle

The 4th of July dessert. Dan whipped up quite the meal.

We made a trip to the Washington City Community pool. Bryan took Carter, Mason and Kirk here a few weeks ago and had a great time. I thought Anna's kids would enjoy it too. Don't forget to check out Seth on Allison's blog.
